Wednesday 22nd December. Last night in the Lords at 9.49 pm Royal Assent was notified to the
Identity Documents Act. All existing ID cards are now cancelled within one
month, and the National Identity Register database will be destroyed
within two months. This saves £835 million in planned future expenditure.
I repeat - £835 million. What cuts would Labour have had to make to recoup that money ?
So now to take out the "NO2ID Cards" sticker out of the car - or I would if not quite as much snow around !
